For some reason I want a note from my mom today, to see her hand writing and know she was thinking about me.

Awwww, I know just what you mean. I’m sorry. I love notes from my mom that are handwritten especially. She’s the queen of greeting cards for no real reason. I will send you a handwritten note if you email me an address to send it to!

Not that I missed much school (I was far too social for that!) but the note that I most commonly saw in my Mom’s handwriting was, “Shaun was absent yesterday as he was ill.” — such a perfect economy of words!

Aww, sweetie, she IS thinking of you even if she doesn’t have a pen handy at the moment.

So true. Every now and then I run across something Mom wrote (a tag, a card, a label) and it takes my breath away.
