A room with a view

Rather than bore you with words, I’ll bore with pictures until I have some news.

  1. I love the Ordnung of these rooms! It will be interesting to see how you two can cope with the coming chaos, psychologically.

  2. wow. i love the room. can i move in instead? loki can live up here in bremen with C. i’m sure that’d be okay with him 😉

  3. The room looks really great. I think the orange cat looks good against that shade of paint ;-). Here’s hoping you make it through today and manage to fit this delivery between Hitler and your MIL’s birthdays!

    Good luck!

  4. I want to move in there. It looks nicer than any room I’ve ever lived in!

Like the picture over the crib. SC had a rainbow picture on her wall–fabric stretched over a wooden frame. She finally outgrew it, so I took it to work and hung it in my office.

Neither of my girls had a decor nursery or as much as a mobile, poor underprivileged things. And never mind the girls–my poor underprivileged CATS would love a climbing tree like that!

  5. OK. There you have it. That was once, centuries ago, my room. Red. With a leaky mattress. Now there’s this young chap that I barely know except for some blurry pics and he gets this dream in blue, with shiny new furniture, happy cats and an Aeron chair? Jen, that’s not fair. I complain. Come on! Where will I stay? He’ll probably even have Wi-Fi for his iPhone. 5 meals a day and stuff. God, you spoil this guy.

  6. LOVE IT! Especially since I’ve seen your place in person and know which room it is. The wall colour is gorgeous.

And yeah, besides being Mutti’s birthday, May 1st is also Labour Day in Germany, and we can’t have that now, can we. The irony would be too much to bear.

  7. Wow! What a great room. Yes, I’m jealous of your superior interior design skills 🙂 The painting over the crib is FANTASTIC.
I empathize with the huge and uncomfortable state you’re in though, but I’m glad it’s working out this way for you instead of an early-Loki-arrival and strung-out unorganized mom 🙂
    I’ve been thinking of you.

  8. LOVE the windows, love the SF posters, love all the books, love the color of the walls, love the kitty. But all that love is nuttin’ compared to the love that will fill the room (and the house) when Loki arrives!

  9. OMG the red room is gone. I’m so glad I got a chance to enjoy it while it existed. The blue is beautiful and the light is gorgeous. That’ll be a fantastic room though I thought your bedroom was going to be Loki’s.

    Good luck you two.
