More Max

It’s Sparky again. I have been recruited to type up this post, too, since typing requires sitting and sitting is a no-no for Jennifer. She’s also not allowed to touch the computer since she has a lot of pregnancy hormones left and must therefore be kept far away from sad, sad internet stories. Even a news snippet about declining profits for Citibank makes her sob uncontrollably.

Now for the gist of this posting: First and foremost, I’d like to thank everyone for their well-wishes. The outpouring of kindness and joy has been awesome. So have the requests for more pictures. Now, we Roders can be pretty stubborn, but in this case I’m inclined to obey.

Enjoy. We’ll post a web album as soon as we get around to it.

  1. So perfect! You must be feeling so content…

Also, I remember those days of “over-horomoned” They pass but not quickly enough! Good job keeping her away from the computer! 🙂

  2. Congratulations to the three of you (a few days late)! Gorgeous photos and I can’t help but smile. Hope you are settling back at home! All the best! Michelle

  3. He knows how to pose already, he’s so cute. Dad sure looks like it doesn’t get any better than holding that babe. It doesn’t 😉

  4. Handsome little boy. I want to borrow him. Is it possible? 😉

P.S. I asked Jen for an address. Please encourage her to send it. 🙂

  5. you guys, he is absolutely gorgeous. he doesn’t look like a week old but almost like a little boy on that last picture. my mom used to say that there’s baby’s who are born looking [at you and the world] like they’ve seen it all. like they have an old soul. as opposed to the “huh! what’s going on?” looking babies i guess. so i’d say mr. max has got soul. do i even make sense? shit, hormones. i’m like that when i see squishy, pretty new babies. makes me wanna hop on a train and come down there to smell him. *sigh*

  6. Kim’s right–I was going to say the same thing. Most babies are blobs–Max is not!

Hope that the sitting thing gets better–I remember that well :/
Probably the only advantage of a c-section!
